What we aim for

Everyone can make a meeting, answer one and fix the time, whatever they use to read and move around the web. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.

What we checked

  • Every step by keyboard alone. The week is one stop: the arrow keys move, Space marks an hour, Shift and an arrow marks the next hours too.
  • Screen readers: every hour says its day, its time in your own time zone, how many people are free and whether you are; Saved and the fixed time are announced.
  • Zoom to 200%, and phones 320 wide with larger text, without sideways scrolling.
  • Reduced motion: when your device asks for it, nothing moves.
  • Text contrast of at least 4.5 to 1, in light and in dark mode.
  • Each person's colour also carries their initial, so colour is never the only sign.

Automated checks (axe) on every page, light and dark, phone and laptop, with meetings open, answered and fixed; scripted runs of every step by keyboard, at 200% zoom and with reduced motion; and simulated people, among them a screen-reader user and someone on a small phone with larger text. Kairos has not yet had an outside audit.

Known limits

  • Marking hours needs JavaScript. Without it, every page still opens and you can give your name.
  • Read in another time zone, on the day the clocks change, the hour labels down the left of the week follow the first day of that week. Each hour itself says its right time.

Tell us

If something does not work for you, write to hello@kairosmeeting.com, and say what you were doing and what you use (a screen reader, zoom, a keyboard).
